EMDR Therapy Training

EMDR Therapy Basic Training Packages and Schema/ EMDR integration workshops

Leisa and her training partner Vania Miteva (New Zealand based) are now offering EMDRAA accredited basic training in EMDR therapy, which when completed allows a therapist to commence working as an EMDR therapist. This is a three part training consisting of Part One (three day workshop), Part Two A (3 hour refresher and 5 hours consultation) and Part Two B (three day workshop). Completion of all three parts allows for full membership of EMDRAA and after only the first workshop, allows the capacity to commence working as an EMDR therapist. Leisa and Vania are also available for consultation to support ongoing accreditation to work toward Accredited Practitioner or Consultant status with EMDRAA.

Training dates for 2025 with Leisa are as follows:
Part 1 (Introductory 3 day workshop)  – 7-9 May, 2025; 28-30 July, 2025; 27-29 October, 2025.

Part Two A (Advanced 3 hour refresher and 4 hours group consultation) – June 2nd, 2025; 1 September, 2025; 12th December, 2025.

Part Two B (Advanced 3 day workshop) – March, 17-19, 2025; July 16-18, 2025; October 15-17, 2025

Note: Part 1 and 2A participants who have trained with Vania or Leisa are given priority for admission to Part 2B

Part 2A is compulsory for admission to 2B.

(Completion of an EMDRAA accredited Level 1 training is compulsory for admission to Part Two A and B, but can be completed with another EMDRAA trainer)

Training with Leisa will be offered face to face in Capalaba, Qld – Venue: My Horizon Conference Centre, 1/15A Runnymede Rd, Capalaba QLD 4157.

If unsure about booking, please contact Leisa on: drleisadavina@gmail.com and I will assist you. Once a booking form is received and checked, Leisa will send an invoice to you. Payment of invoice will then secure your place in the training program.

I recently attended EMDR training through Leisa. This was my first experience with EMDR. I found the training to be really valuable, enhancing my understanding of EMDR and boosting my confidence in delivering this therapeutic approach. Leisa presented the concepts of EMDR in a practical, relatable manner, allowing me to easily grasp the fundamentals of EMDR. Integrating Schema and EMDR therapy - a one or two day workshop

This workshop is aimed at those who have completed at least part 1 of EMDR basic training, and who would like an introduction to fundamental schema therapy concepts and strategies that can enhance their delivery of EMDR therapy. Please reach out to Leisa below to organise booking in 2025 –  Brisbane –  March 24th (one day with extra pre-readings/ activities) or October 23rd/24th (two days)! 8-430pm. Cost $390 (Inc GST) – Early Bird for a one-day workshop $350 (Inc GST for those booked 1 month and paid one month in advance). Cost $690 (Inc GST) – early bird for the two-day workshop ($650 Inc GST) for those booked and paid one month in advance.
